About Me

My photo
Lisa
I enjoy great food, travel, and fine arts. Throughout my college career at University of the Pacific, I have studied different art media and behavioral psychology. I have been professionally trained in sculpture, ceramics, and painting, photography, printmaking as well as graphic design. After receiving my bachelors degree, I became a teacher while pursuing higher education in the medical field. Although, I have channeled my graduate studies towards public health and medicine, I continue to challenge my craftsmanship and creativity. The craft projects I share on this blog are generally simple and fun to make while incorporating elements and principles of design. Fine arts and craft art are two totally different subjects. However, I do find that whether I am painting or creating a card, I still have to consider the elements of design such as value, color, texture, etc. Let's not forget that all kinds of craft require consideration of balance, harmony, and contrast, in which are the principles of design. -Lisa H.T.
